Sunday Comic: Hayward Whodunnit
Detail of this week's comic.

Welcome to our irregular Sunday Comic. While we don't do this as often as we'd like, we love sharing comics about Hayward with our community. This week's is by our resident artist, Nestor.

There's more to a news ecosystem than reporting and writing. If you're interested in volunteering for the Hayward Herald, we'd love to have you on the team! We're 100% volunteer-run, so the more people we have, the more we can grow.

It appears our recent foray into locally-themed board games was not the success that we had hoped it would be. 😼

Dear Hayward Herald,

I recently purchased your “Hayward themed” version of Clue Whodunnit and am requesting a full refund. I will admit, the premise of the game was interesting— and the bundle of “community-benefits” is a nice touch, but solving the mystery of who approved the new Stack Data Center was a bit lackluster to say the least.

First off, we finished the game but technically we won’t find out until one year from the purchase date?

Second, I had to learn a bunch of names of planning commissioners, I was definitely not interested in learning.

Third, it made me go read a bunch of articles you guys wrote and it’s not as fun as listening to 15 seconds of a video clip before I eventually swipe to an AI generated Michael Jackson Salsa song.

Also, I think I prefer my news in purely podcast form.

Please send me my full refund of 17.99 plus shipping and handling to my return address on the envelope.

Regards,
Unhappy Customer
